Nabooru! <333 What a babe [eyebrows on fleek m8]. I took at crack at lineart (and spend a jillion hours doing it) so that I could cell shade but instead I painted ^_^;; Ive never colored anything this smoothly before.
Oh well, i'm really happy with it and all those bazillion hours was worth it. Lineart in SAI and colored in CS6.

This is an absolutely beautiful image! You really captured Nabooru's strenth and elegance. The softness of the shading and the soft gradient in the background look beautiful against the piercing gaze of Nabooru's eyes and the strong lineart that keeps the piece together. It is apparent that a lot of planning and thought went into this piece.
I also love that you kept most of the piece symmetrical and let the hair sweep off to the side. It's a small detail, but it adds a little motion to the piece that plays nicely with the stillness of the symmetry.
The colour scheme is also very nicely balanced. The way you incorporated each colour throughout the piece keeps this image feeling very balanced. Even the colours that are only used once or twice are tied in by their placement and execution.
There are only three things that bother me about this piece. For one, there is a very distinct midline in the piece created by the placement of the jewelry in relation to the nose. This midline is broken at the top of the image because the jewel in Nabooru's hair is both offset and leaning slightly to the right. The symmetry in this piece is so strong that this tiny break is distracting from the rest of the image.
The second thing that bothers me is that the lines below the shoulders that connect the arms to the bust are too long. Because of Nabooru's build and natural muscle, the lines should be a quarter or a third of the length that they are. Right now if Nabooru were to put her arms out straight to either side of herself, her armpits would be digging in to the are where her deltoid muscles should be.
The last thing that bothers me is that the shadows under the chin and under the jewelry at the neck and chest feel like they should be darker based on the light source.
Overall, this is a very well executed piece! I wish you were selling prints of this, because I would hang this in my house without hesitation.
