For some reason, it reminded me of the Queen of the Night's costume from Mozart's The Magic Flute.This was made with a cardboard base, feathers, and rhinestones. The little dangly things on the sides are plastic beads and sequins, and the elastic was a generic mask elastic I bought from the craft store. The blue turned out a little brighter in the photograph, but it's rather darker in real life...

this mask is my 2nd fave. nice touch with the stars hanging on the sides! did you ever get to wear them? it would've been fun just turning your head since you can see the stars swishing on the sides

I don't usually wear any of these for real, since it turns out they don't stay on very well (mostly the ones with ribbons--I never make the ribbon long enough).

i can imagine, tying lace or silk ribbons tight enough is hard. it just keeps untying itself>.< it's sad, masked balls are a rare event. sometimes night clubs have their own version

Hehe, I'm kind of a sheltered person, I guess. I barely even went to school dances when I was in high school.
But, yes, if there were a masked ball, I would TOTALLY go.

don't worry, clubbing isn't all that fun. proms were better, at least people could have a decent conversation
