Abilities
Resolve can sense resolve and lack thereof in others, particularly in regards to certain choices and actions they are considering or need to take. They have a passive detection within a fairly large radius around them, but they can also focus this ability on an individual to know more in depth about the action the resolve is in regards to.

They can also strengthen the resolve of others, though this can be temporary depending on how accepting the individual is of that increased resolve. If someone truly wants to be resolved in taking an action (and perhaps simply lack their own will), the influence will last longer. If the individual completely rejects the resolve, the influence may slip away within moments.

Personality
Resolve is very serious and task-oriented - wanting to get things done, and wanting things to be done quickly, decisively, and without any regret. They do not have positive regard for those with weak wills - doormats, if you will. They may offer their assistance in strengthening resolve, but if they are refused, then they may scoff and say something along the lines of "you lack resolve."

To many, they may seem cold and standoffish. They often consider frivolous activities a waste of time - at least, if the activities are a procrastination of something else. Anything they do they do fully and decisively; if they are there, they want to be there. There is very little in the world that can make them do what they, personally, do not want to do.

They have relatively few they would call friends, though they are very much willing to dedicate some amount of time to conversing or doing various activities with them. Their threshold for "friendship" is fairly high; some who consider Resolve a friend may not be considered a friend by Resolve, only an acquaintance.

History
Resolve was once a human that lived in the late ancient ages. While they didn't fully understand the nature of Edeia and Idea magic, they knew that there was a step in their journey where they would have to let things go, have to be prepared to take a leap into the unknown - and then did, when they were seventeen, losing most of their past memories and becoming Resolve.

With their Actualization came a vague instinctual understanding of their nature and magic, as well as their new senses - both their natural Edeia senses and their ability to sense the resolve of others. They sought out those lacking resolve, appearing as something like an apparition to them, offering the resolve to do what they had to do.

Eventually, they met Order while they were still considering what to do. With Resolve's assistance, Order found the will to see all the possibilities of the future despite the risk, and later to engineer the start of the age of secrecy.

During the age of secrecy, Resolve often disguised themself as a human to continue seeking out those who lacked resolve. Those they encountered would often think of them as some kind of demonic or supernatural entity, though Resolve's assistance wasn't necessarily blatantly magical so they were often doutful. After the age of reunion began, Resolve continued, though often in their Edeia form.
