Description
This is an old drawing I forgot to submit when I drew it. It is a dog character who has made himself stronger in response to childhood abuse. He feels he must protect himself and is at the moment showing himself to his father to warn him not to mess with him again. I hope that bringing up abuse doesn't offend anyone, sorry if it does.Related content

How fast did he gain muscle mass since he seems to be still very young?

Well he's in his mid-twenties though he may seem younger. My characters usually have a puppy look about them

Ah this way you go, adult but puppy-look, that's nice, but you should at least mention this in your works to clear up your viewers some more, like... a little bit of biography ^^

I meant because your characters look younger than they are, you should write their age in the description.

I agree with you, it would be funny to see the look on his face, he will be the one scared! I am sorry though that you had to go through something so horrible. Most people that I have heard of being abused also had it from a step-parent.

It shouldn't offend anyone as sadly such things exist in this world, and the idea of a parent abusing a child is truly horrible but should never be ignored. Perhaps an abused child will one day find this on DA and derive a bit of comfort from it, knowing that they like this fictional dog may one day overcome the abuse and find the strength – both literal and figurative – to put it behind them and move on in life. As for the drawing, the anatomy is well done and one can almost feel the rippling muscle. Also an interesting pose.

I agree with you. I myself was never abused so I don't know what its like, but I still don't see why a parent would want to hurt their child. They're so innocent and pure and doing that to them would just make them feel like they're doing something wrong when they're not. So yes, this drawing does represent one character who overcame it all and can now prove to his father that he will never be hurt again. Also thankyou, I'm glad you like the drawing itself too
