Description
The second in the series of three illustrations done for Winterfold for their EP release "Despondency" (and the last one I completed).Glad to finally be able to show all three! These were quite a challenge for me but overall I'm happy with their result.
All done in Photoshop CS5 - many hours
WACOM intuos3 tablet.

As I said in a comment, I really enjoy being able to unconsciously respond to artwork as if it were real, it is rather entertaining really. Though I personally would like to see segments of the man's face, not being able to see it adds to the sense of anonymity and discomfort of the piece, making everything seem dangerous, which makes the viewer feel uncomfortable, adding once more to the already impressive cringe factor. Not to mention, the mass of detail in the piece is extraordinary, and is something only top notch artists can amount to. The The only real problem I see with the piece is the difficulty, at least initially to see that the setting is underwater, which may bother some who do not tend to truly observe the artwork for extended periods of time (though I don't really see this as a problem for impulse favers ;D). Nonetheless, great work overall!
