What started out as a speed painting yesterday became this after I revisited it today. Just so you know that's a screen capture of Dead Space in the background there (I didn't draw it) and you can find that image here: danbrokamp.com/wordpress/?p=38…
Let me know what you think of the background, I'm not sure if I prefer it with a photo background or just by himself with no background, you be the judge
Spent around 3-5 hours doing this one with the usual Photoshop CS5 and my wacom intuos3 tablet. I attempted to use some textures on his skin too but not sure how well it turned out, I don't really mind as this one is a quickie. Enjoy!

I absolutely adore your take on the Leaper/dead space; every piece you do is so raw and expressive, violent- and you execute the wonderful freedom of lines and extraordinary planes that this alien affords you, with such imagination and god like qualities, and sometimes in a complementary environment!- you do this wonderful monster such justice. That when I saw the leaper in the space ship- hull? Piece- I said to a friend sitting next to me.. which now that I think back on it; was probably very inappropriate, and should have been reserved for internal subtext only- I said ‘Dude, this picture is so b!tching, that I’m sure that if I was a guy I would so have a hard on right now’... well it’s true!

Both my favorite necromorph and the most irritating. Especially in Dead Space 2 where they leap MUCH farther.

Hello, I think that the background and the monster don't blend together so well. I can see the editing at some places around the monster. The blood kind of splatter in a weird way too (on the floor) and looks fake opposite to the background. Maybe you could do a handmade background based on the one you already have?
