What started out as a speed painting yesterday became this after I revisited it today. Just so you know that's a screen capture of Dead Space in the background there (I didn't draw it) and you can find that image here: danbrokamp.com/wordpress/?p=38…
Let me know what you think of the background, I'm not sure if I prefer it with a photo background or just by himself with no background, you be the judge
Spent around 3-5 hours doing this one with the usual Photoshop CS5 and my wacom intuos3 tablet. I attempted to use some textures on his skin too but not sure how well it turned out, I don't really mind as this one is a quickie. Enjoy!

I think you should make the background more darker, it will make this scene a lot more scarier.
In the game I was more afraid of the dark than the xenomorphes coz my mind kept on imagining
what monsters where lurking in the dark.

It's really cool! I love the game! And the image is amazing!
I'll just tell you a few things that got a bit of my attention. The character is a bit flat, it has it's own shadding,highlighting but you said in the discription you wanted it to fit the Background. So, take the lights/shades from the background and applie to the character. It's a bit too "bright" comparing to the BG and you could use yellow/pale lights to make reflection of the light on it and on the walls.
His left hand. (Right when We're looking at it) I dunno, It seemed less worked than the rest of the pic and the fingers seemed Too flat.
Again, the picture is amazing! You made it look as creepy as in the game. You're really skilled, just those things I mentioned before should be analized a bit.

LOVE IT! Hope you have the video so we can see it on your youtube channel. and the textures are fine in some spots not so great on others. some parts of the skin look like rock while others make it seem like dead flesh. either way keep up the awesome work.
