First off, yes I did get back in my Kitakami jinbei getup. (Since this story focused on the Loyal Three’s master, I figured I should dress the part, so I did.) Second, if you see this, it means I’m officially done with the epilogue of the DLC for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. A short third part, but I’m satisfied with how it turned out (guess I was overthinking things again ). I snapped this screenshot of me with all of the main characters in the package (no disrespect to Kieran and Carmine’s grandparents) once I defeated and captured Pecharunt. Kieran and I managed to save our friends and the villagers of Mossui Town from the poisoned mochi Pecharunt was feeding everyone. Following Kieran’s growth in The Indigo Disk, I enjoyed teaming up with him to save his hometown and our friends. The boy’s really come a way since he learned to stop being spiteful.

Also, seeing all of the player’s friends together — both here and in the final part of the epilogue — went over pretty well. Arven, Penny and Nemona all had a fun time in Kitakami, and they seemed to get along fine with Kieran and Carmine. (Some buttons amongst them were pressed, but, given the context, the tone felt more playful than antagonistic.) And after taking a hiatus to comfort each other, Carmine and Kieran are both back at Blueberry Academy, where they should now be able to appear in League Club Room from time to time. This event also allows one to access Arven, Nemona and Penny as special coaches (assuming one has fully bonded with them beforehand, like I have). One can re-battle and trade with them all now. I’ve got some summonces to make to get the other three available too, but I’ll get there. Having been able to get a Mythical Pokémon and getting all of the game’s rivals/friends under one roof to fraternize once safe — quite an enjoyable epilogue for a wonderful game and DLC.
