something totally new for me, new subject matter, new angle, new vibe... i quite enjoyed doing this one... i feel the background couldve been better and his clogs (yes CLOGS! haha) but youre only as good as time lets you be... just gonna keep practicing...jimminy looks kinda cool, i like how hes disney but detailed... itd be cool to see disney do soemthing like this animated... im sure they never will as itd take FOREVER

hehe thanx thats what i wanted to hear! i tried to do soething contrasting as i got a critique saying i "only do superheros" and although they were all requests by other people i decided to just let them all slide and do as many completely contrasting drawings as possible... the next ones should be even further removed... if i can pull them off... ive got a few ideas but nothing final yet ;D

yeah the scans just arent turning out too flash... i may trace this off and ink another version as its in a sketchbook... this one is probably the only one worth inking so far, but id redo the BG totally i think

you shouldn't mix 2 styles... people expect to see disney pinoccio, and then see... something very not ....

that makes NO sense... every persons style is just a hybrid of their influences... plus other then jiminy this is hardly disney at all...

yet everything about jiminy is disney.
It breaks the flow of the piece and makes you wonder why you chose to stray from using the same style for the rest of the piece... and since there really is no obvious reason, it asks the viewer to look for what is different between the 2 pinnocios and distracts from the overall impact of the piece..... It would have been a wiser artistic choice to put a new spin on jiminy, if not completely omitting the disney creation alltogether and supplimenting your own replacement...
I hope that is more clear.

jimminy is quite my own style too if you hadnt noticed tho... just the amount of detail automatically removes it from being classed classic "disney" and i dont know why you are so against my redesign, as obviously my intentions were to not redraw some disney drawing, but to do pinocchio in MY style and detail level... if you believe this distracts from the image thats your own opinion but i think youll find people dont watch me for disney artwork, they watch me for THIS...
