Description
Some people say that life is like a dream which your spirit is just dreaming. It dreams of people, events, emotions, and even more dreams.
Me? I think that life is more like a phone call that you’re having with God, and what you see and hear is just part of that phone conversation. See, it’s like this:
God picks up the phone, and you’re born, brought into this world.
You say “Hey Big Man, what’s up?”
He says “Hey, it looks like you want to get started, so let’s go.”
So you have a long conversation, and after a while it starts getting interesting.
You tell God “Then I got really angry because, come on, if somebody spit in your face you know you’d blow your lid.”
Then God replies: “Well, what if after that he came back and shot your closest friend in revenge?”
“Well, that’s one hell of a question”, you say, “but why would you let such a thing like that happen in the first place?”
And God says “Well, it’s not up to me what happens, it’s up to you. So what do you do next?”
“Well, I’d return the favor; only not to a friend…I’d blast that idiot through the head in a second.”
God’s tone changes, “Well then, you’d probably be jailed for a while…all of your friends would about-face because they didn’t think you were like that”
Then you say “Well then, I guess I’d have to change up a bit…move to a different part of town where I can relate to more people.”
God asks: “Is that the way you want to relate to them”
“Do I have a choice?”
“Of course you do”
“Well it didn’t seem like it to me…I mean, I’m only human”
“And so is everybody else…except me of course”
You laugh at God’s joke, but then ask “Well, I think I’m doing fine. Nobody wants to mess with me because I’ve already killed 4 people on every block, the cops are out to get me, but they never will, and I’m in charge of me.”
Then God says: “Well, I’m sorry, but this really isn’t what I had in mind for you.”
You ask, “Why not?”
And finally, you get your reply, “It’s in the wrong part of town.”
