If the sky is a kingdomHe is the king
And his strike is his royal decree
His throne is superseded by none
As he sits upon it
Tittering on the edge of reason
Before taking flight
His eyes are literal metaphors
As quills they carve
A death sentence
Which fades away
But returns for an instant
As his eyes reiterate it
Revising it to perfection
Then, all at once,
His claws in blood ink
Submit the final draft
of his royal decree
And his kingdom obeys.
