I was hanging out with some friends on a Discord call while painting, mainly as a test for doing some live streams of my own, and I was going to paint something cosmic but one of my friends sent me a piece of AI art - something that I will have a thorough opinion and thought journal coming soon on - and wanted me to do my own take on it, simply because he really liked the picture but couldn't stand the fact is was AI generated. So, I went ahead and painted this. I also was practicing with a limited palette, so this was done only Permanent Rose and French Ultramarine (which make the most brilliant violet color you can imagine ), Titanium White, Ivory Black, and a little Cadmium Yellow Hue. It's not a perfect representation of the original piece because I wanted it to be my own by also because I couldn't replicate some of the effects perfectly. It's also been a while since I worked in oils. I've mainly been painting in acrylic lately, but nothing I've done is worthy of sharing since I'm still learning basic techniques. But I'm trying new things!

Overall, I'm happy with this piece. The sky should have more going on in it and the mountains could use some work and the foreground is very plain, but I'm happy with the depth in the picture and the colors. I like purple a little too much, I think.
