I've seen a lot of discussion online about whether someone who is self-diagnosed should be accepted into the autistic community, and I say they should because there are so many ways that a person could be blocked from getting a diagnosis that are completely out of their control. This just feels like another form of gatekeeping, and I am not a fan of gatekeepers.
