Description A few more fruits of my UC model kit painting frenzy. Out on the town one day I had found a Gyan Model kit in toys. It was regular price but it was better than nothing, so I grabbed it. Later after having to buy a part card to replace a broken Gelgoog waist I had an inspiration of Combining the two suits into what I called a 'gy-goog'. I waited for a while then ordered Cima's command Gelgoog online. By the time I'd got it I found out that there was allready a mobile suit that was kind of like that.

I merely re-painted the Gelgoog to match the normal color schemes, however for the Gyan I decided to tweak it a little bit. Taking a spare gelgoog 'backpack', I used my dremmel tool to cut a section out so that it could replace the Gyans old 'oxygen tank' style backpack, as well as modiying one of the hands so that it could hold a Gouf's machine gun. I had wanted it to be a Gelgoog machine gun, but it wouldn't co-operate. I also modified a spare spiked sheild from a Marine Gelgoog to fit on the sheild arm. In the end I just painted it up in the gelgoog colors and added some left-over stickers and voila.

This picture was taken on... the table sitting 2 feet away from me. I'm sorry for them not having a better posed battle shot like with the Goufs and Zakus. Once I take any better pictures, they'll be up.

Ahhh... ok. For a second I was worried they had Gold Plastic Syndrome.

At least with Hasbro/takara's plastic, the gold doesn't mix right... and you end up with the figures practicaly disintegrating with minimum ware. It even happens right in the box!

I was worried after i purchased the kit from gundam store and more i picked it because it was on sale for like 10.99. I checked hobbysearch for infor on the kit and since they give you pics of the directions and whats in the box i knew what to expect and until i can aford a gray gundam marker to paint the the fuel tanks i have to endure the stupidity on bandai part why they could not get it right on the commander version but get it right on the standard gelgoog marine part tree(runners) is beyond me.

I see what you did there Not a bad idea, it's always cool to see a gyan with a better backpack and propellant tanks Lol, you're right, the gelgoog beam machine gun would've fit in better with the colour scheme (but a zaku machine gun is fine too.) That's one of the problems with HGUC kits, the hands are...unversatile.
Nice stuff though, the thought of all the work involved repainting a whole kit pisses me off, but you've pulled it off

Not bad, actually. I like the idea behind it. A lot better than I am at making Custom MS from model kits :3 Good job!
