Description My second attempt at TF2 fanart. Also, my first attempt at using colored pencils. Got to use Mom's Prismacolors. Used a GMod posing as reference. About halfway through, found out that I was using the wrong paper, had too much "tooth", hence a slightly grainy look. Shoulda stuck with the printer paper Probably the hardest part was his teeth, but I honestly don't know why

Thank you! I might, however, attribute the fainting to Medic's *cough* good looks, rather than anything I did

Actually I think the tooth works well here.

Thank you! Maybe I should consider /not/ using the printer paper on the next piece

Maybe! It just gives it a really nice traditional feel.
Also high five for Prismacolors, I use 'em too. Though I can't do light like you can... everything I do is really, really bold.

Thanks, that's a good idea!
Cool! And bold can be good I need to tweak my style, so that it doesn't take me 6 months to finish a piece

I'm sure it is, but everything I do looks overly cartoony. xP

Don't worry about it, just experiment and try new things.

For a second attempt, this is completely frikking awesome!
Something about me wants to mention the eyes in some manner, but I don't know why.

Thank you very much!
It's very easy to get into "creepy valley" if eyes are off by even a little bit, so that might be what's going on.

HERP DERP IMA TRUMPET!

GMod is awesome! Except, I had a moment of fail where I bought it on the account with NO GAMES! Gah...

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Automateer In reply to CorruptedAdventure [2011-08-10 05:20:44 +0000 UTC]

Don't worry, trumpets are great!

I have to admit, though, that I spend most of my time in GMod doing absurd stuff with and for a friend.
And that sucks, getting it on the wrong account. Were you able to get it sorted out?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

CorruptedAdventure In reply to Automateer [2011-08-10 05:51:36 +0000 UTC]

TRUMPETS FTW!

lol, Gmod almost seems hard! I love sandbox games, but the controls are a bit... I dunno... different. I like them, I think they're a good idea, but rotating a ragdoll is a bit spazzy and the finger poser confuzzles me every time. Once, if ever, I get the hang of it, I will try more than creating random scenes on nonsense. I don't know half the vanilla tools and I guess mastering may come in time...

Well, I waill figure something out! I own the games, I have the files. I have GCFScape. I WILL figger it out. Eh, or you can say, no, I'm working on TF2 and limited HL2 files ATM... XD

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Automateer In reply to CorruptedAdventure [2011-08-10 21:51:26 +0000 UTC]

I agree, when I was starting out, I was completely confused by trying to figure out which movement of the cursor resulted in pitch, yaw, and roll. And if a ragdoll has stiff joints, that just compounds the problem. And I don't know most of the tools, either, because they don't need to be used to make still scenes, so don't worry it too much.

Alright, that's good!! I'm pretty sure you've got all you need. Although, it will probably add significantly to your used space on your hardrive.

CorruptedAdventure In reply to Automateer [2011-10-11 00:58:31 +0000 UTC]

Sorry it's taken so long, i get incredably lazy...!

Gah, I'll probably find gmod on my computer again, then I'll wonder to myself, man, I should probably use this... Then I'll become obsessed with it...!! ^^

At the moment, unfortinately, I can't be geeky right now, gah, school is suckish right now...

lol, yeah... probably...

Automateer In reply to CorruptedAdventure [2011-10-11 22:22:14 +0000 UTC]

Hey, no problem. It actually wasn't a bad time to reply, because I haven't really been here actively in a couple weeks. ;D

Funny thing, I've been busy lately, as well. Haven't been in GMod for probably a month. *laugh* But for myself, sometimes I can't worry about it too much. Sometimes, I feel like if I get it done within a year, that's a victory.
