The awesome artist who drew these is Zemechiel. As for the colors...
Ants-I wanted the colors to reflect their heirarchy--the deeper the color, the higher up on the ladder they are.
Roaches-I remember him stating that he saw them as metallic on the X-Files. Hence the metallic sheen.
Termites-Same thing for the ants.
Bees-I wanted to do the reverse of Beedrill.
Stag beetle & Hercules Beetle-Zemechiel said they are like opposite hemisphere versions of Pinsir and Heracross, so I toyed around with the colors. Something familiar, yet altogether different.
Scarab-I love the colors for the Beyer's jewel scarab, so it was a no-brainer.
Fleas-Something along the lines of the actual animal.
Reppoh-I chose the colors for the plague locust on this one.
Gororo-This is a combo of two different weevils--the sunflower weevil and a malaysian weevil.
Spiders-A black widow and a pink-kneed tarantula.
Flies-A fruit fly and a green bottle fly.
Mosquitoes-I went for a emo/punk/goth kinda vibe.
Miniyanma-Yanma is red and Yanmega is green, so if it comes from something that is born in the water, it would of course have to be blue. A win-win situatuion.
Berryniche-Zemechiel said it was a aphid/firefly hybrid.

you have great ideas for colors, the color ranking in the ants is very good, and so was the logic with minyanma.
I'd say my favourites are the cutest tiny flea and fly,with their evos(the green in the horsefly is a total win), berrynche, the spiders and termindy with the pink heart head.

Yeah...sorry it took until now to get back to you. Thanks for all the comments on all of these, it really means alot to me that you like them.
Yeah, for the most part I just played around with photoshop cs4 extended and leeched a bunch of colors off of other people's fakedex's. I didn't exactly copy them down color for color, I modified them alot.
Again, kudos on all of these lists...it kept me from losing my sanity until the 5th Generation was announced and confirmed. If you have more, I'd love to give em' a try.
