Thank you! I was definitely surprised by it as well, but I have a feeling it'll be a cute, fun addition to the game! (Though I'm also the sort of person who likes most of the exposition fairies in Zelda games, even Fi, so I may not be the best judge xD)
I figure as long as its hints are optional/generally only prompted by the player or you're at least allowed to ignore them and do your own thing without it barking at you to go somewhere or do something else every few minutes, it'll be a cool addition~ And I can just imagine the protagonists running out of usable Pokémon and throwing their Rotom-dex at the opponent's Pokémon in desperation while it yells at them that it's not a battler, lol.

xD I've thought of the Rotom-dex battling as well xD No clue how that would work - and who would want to have to replace their dex if it breaks from an attack xD I think this will be the best gen yet ^^

Saw some extra footage in the Japanese trailer revealing it, and the mini map and dex looks really nice so far And I have a feeling Rotom won't be bugging us every few seconds like a certain fairy did *cough*Navi*cough*

I do wonder if we'll be able to take the Rotom out of the dex and use it in battle, though?

Hah, better hope Kukui had a few extra 'Dexes lying around for Rotom to possess again! I'm definitely looking forward to gem VII. VI was pretty good, but not my fave - I definitely preferred ORAS to X and Y (Though Sapphire was my first game, so I'm probably a bit biased, lol). Here's hoping they can improve on what went right and fix up what went wrong to make Sun and Moon the best yet!

Yeah, I've seen a good bit of it from gifs and screenshots on my dash. It's been flooding with Pokémon today, haha! It definitely looks nice so far! Some people I follow have been concerned it'll be a bit too hand-holdy, but I have a feeling GameFreak and Nintendo have learned enough from their past experiences, player reactions, and know their audiences well enough to figure out how to make it work without going too far in either direction~ c:

That's a good question! Some people have theorized that, and others have theorized that it may well battle in Dex form itself (Electric-Steel, they're typically suggesting), or that it might not battle at all. Either way, it's raised the idea of it arguing with your starter over which of them is really your first Pokémon, which I can definitely imagine being an amusing time - Especially if it turns out that it CAN battle, lol~

I definitely liked ORAS over X and Y, too. Kalos was cool, but I honestly didn't care too much for most of the other friends/rivals (except for Calem/Serena, of course), and Team Flare just felt goofy. At least Magma and Aqua had interesting characters in them.

Electric-Steel sounds like a good typing for Dex-Rotom. And arguing with your starter sounds hilarious xD Maybe it'll translate what our pokemon are saying?

So far, I really like the looks of the region, which is probably bigger in-game that it looks on the map. Trying to figure out where the E4 is (thinking it's on the bottom-right island on top of that mountain).

And we'll be getting even more info at E3 ^^ A little disappointed about Nintendo's plans for this year, but not much we can do about that xD
