This started out as an entry for a contest.
I was planning on drawing a Mudkip with May, cause the contest was to make a banner advertising your team (I'm on Team Hoenn <3).
So I had to draw water.
And I got all fancy-schmancy and decided to draw my sweetheart, Kyogre, instead. (:
Cause y'know, I've been in love with him since late 2006/early 2007.
He's mine.
Not yours, mine.
Anyway, this is the banner without the words.
I thought it was too pretty to have words on it, so I'll put words on it for the contest, but otherwise it'll stay this way.
This was also my first time drawing without an outline, hope it came out okay.
And I got a little crazy with the water droplets, but heh. Dramatic effects ftw.

How did you make that ocean water? @_____@ Holy crap, I wish I could make backgrounds like that.
The only thing is that there's no discernible disturbance in the water from where Kyogre jumped out of it (I thought about that because of all the droplets, which are really spiffeh, by the way). It kind of looks like he's flying. xD
And I definitely like the lineless Kyogre; a good choice for this image, in my opinion, but the outer edge is really uneven and I think it would just overall look better with a straight edge. Not a huge fan of the tail strands for that reason.
Overall, though, the image is very, very nice~ ;3
And sorry for the major critique thing there. Though I wouldn't have done it if I hadn't liked this so much.

The ocean was actually very simple.
I looked at a tutorial and then put my own style into it.
Yeah, I had issues coloring him so my mouse kind of jerked up and decided it wanted to make his butt fins crazy.
I was going to make a splash from where he came out of, but I got really impatient cause it took me an hour just to do all of those droplets. x___x
The edges are uneven because I was using a size 3 brush tool. Stupid mistake. But as I said, I got lazy and din't want to fix it.

And then about the butt fins. I thought a quick fix was to use the blur tool. It only messed it up. And then I accidentally quit Photoshop and my history disappeared, so I couldn't fix it.

Wow. I'm in awe of you *__* Once I got my tablet I somehow unlearned the mouse in a blink. Lol. Can't paint with a mouse for peanuts now.
