This is a tribute to the recent chapter of PoHA by *suthnmeh ...in which Jasper finally dies.
Here is a pic of Jasper (of course) and Amelia. Now, I'm not sure if you could call them a 'couple' but they were at least very close friends. I've tried to add some symbolizm in this, but there are very few:

1. Chains: the chains were connected to Jasper's hands, which during his life restrained him. Because he was a Poleepkwa, he had very little rights/freedom in what all aliens call home (D9). After death, the chains break, which means he no longer has to suffer the unforgivable torture of life.

2. White Lilac flowers: I read that white lilacs represent youthful innocence, which Jasper had always shown.

3. Purple cloth: Jasper was an ex soldier, and since he was a soldier, I wanted to cover his body up with a royal color to honor him; usually gold, blue, or purple is used, and since gold was too bright and blue wouldn't fit the color scheme, I chose purple.

As always, my scanner has made my artwork less acceptible because it's being a little bitch. >:[ The real one looks better. And I appologize to *suthnmeh I know Amelia is kind of gothic in her style, but when I tried to make a gothic dress, I FAILED, so I made it pretty. D: I also made her bangs too long...sorry.
