I LOVE DISTRICT 9!!! IT WAS THE BEST MOVIE OF THE SUMMER! But I bet no one of dA knows that because I don't talk about it that much.
Anyway, I've always wanted to do the meme, so I did. For any of you who don't know what District 9 is, ummm....just go research it... D: It's an epic movie

For #4 - I think only people who saw the movie will get this...in one scene near the end when Wikus (main character) is in the biosuit he's shooting all these MNU guys and just randomly he uses this gravity gun to levitate a pig and then throws it at some dude and kills him!

And I just LOVED that scene when Wikus and Christopher were trying to get to the space craft, and he kills the MNU who were about to kill Christopher and says "LET ME TAKE YOU TO YOUR BOY!" and while they were running and trying to dodge bullets and stuff, Wikus gets damaged and tells Christopher to go ahead and he'll hold them off. Christopher says that he won't leave him here but Wikus insists that he do this or everything will be in vain. I just loved that whole scene
And the epic fighting that came afterward! >D Comments and favs are welcomed

I loved that scene!! But the one that touches and speaks to me the most is the part when Christopher and Wikus invade MNU, and then Christopher finds the tortured prawn, and you finally see Wikus start to realize IT'S NOT ABOUT HIM.

That scene was pretty powerful, I really liked it and it also made me sad... the look on Christopher's face when he discovered the other prawn... ;__;

It really was touching. He could have ran away and survived, but he went back even if it meant his death. So that was a pretty damned brave thing to do for someone he's only known for around 3 days.

Totally agree! And that Christopher... after almost getting his kid taken by Wikus, getting hit with a pipe by him, and (almost) leaving him to aquire his own goal, Chris still remains loyal to Wikus and even says that he won't leave him to fight that they must stay together. They are true men

i was really upset that district 9 didnt get any awards at the oscars. well at least it got nominated. i wish it would have one best motion picture!

Me too...I really hated how it seemed The Hurt Locker won almost everything. I even told my friends about the oscars; "District 9 didn't win anything?! Awwww..." and "Well, it's obvious Avatar won best animation." and "I'm glad Up got some awards as well as Precious^^" but when I mentioned The Hurt Locker, they all surprisingly said "The what?" Apparently, it seemed NONE of my friends knew anything about that movie and yet it won 6 oscars out of the 9 it was nominated for...
And in my own opinion, not only should have District 9 won AT LEAST one oscar out of the four it was nominated for, but the movie Presious was such a strong, emotional movie, SO much better than The Hurt Locker (and made more money at that too), yet it only won, like, two oscars. My friends where suprised when they heard that.
It also almost seemed whatever The Hurt Locker didn't win, Avatar won.

Yeah, in the movie the Prawns LOVED cat food...I guess it was sort of like cat nip for cats, only they're obsession was a lot more intense.
