Description
This is for 's contest, which is to just draw a dragon^^ This is Kujonoryuu, which translates into "Dragon of destruction". This took me a long time to color...but I'm proud of how he came out. The original looks better, though...my scanner sometimes eats some colors, but it's still good. I tries to make his wings look folded because he doesn't have them stretched out all the way. He looks like a dragon from hell I thinkRelated content

That's because he's charging forward.

the problem with the folds in the wings, which you probably understand by now is that if he is walking forwards [yes, even so much as a light stroll] the wind caught inside of his wings [somewhat outstretched as they are] will catch the webbing and force it backwards into space, preventing the curtain like folds you've drawn, instead it will appear stretched backwards.
nice work,
Wes,

i saw that halfway through my comment, the date of the piece, but i figured it'd maybe lead to some constructive critique if others saw it, plus... well i was halfway there, lol.

I like the image, it gives this Dragon the epic viewing it deserves, and clearly betrays his short temper. Never would cross such an evidently capable beast of splendor as this.
I would much enjoy seeing his more Human-like form, as it would most likely have a natural elegance, grace, and power that natural leaders are the only ones honestly comparative to in form.

The rainbow colored head is a twist on the dragon from hell thing, but it's good. Folded wings aren't easy to get right, but you did well at the impression.

Excuse me, my name is Dennis and I am blown away by your depiction of a dragon. I have a request of you. May i use this picture in a documentary? I will give all rights and recognition to you of course. I would be greatly honored if you accept my request. Thank you and have a nice day and I hope to hear from you shortly.
