Description
"Wolf In Progress" XDIt may or may not be done. I need your opinion:
Should I leave it like this, OR should I draw a dream catcher [link] and instead of a net inside, it the drawing.
Which should I do?
P.S., that IS supposed to be a wolf, it's my first time ever drawing one, so it may look like a dog, or fox or something, but it's supposed to be a wolf. Her name is Kisara^^

I hope you don't mind a crit, I'm feeling more open about it.
First off, the background and your colouring is fantastic. There's no doubt about that. Everything is smoothly done and blended very nicely, and yet the markings are sharp and bold, which I know is the effect you were achieving.
I only have a few problems; Yes, the wolf looks very foxlike. Don't get me wrong, as a first attempt, this is beyond extraordinary and you got the major proportions of a canine dead on. What's the problem is how to make the species identifiable.
A wolf's snout is usually thicker and a bit shorter than a fox's. Try and think "power", or you can even go fetch reference pictures from Google. The snout is well done here, it's just more fox than wolf. Another neat trick to note, is that the upper jaw and snout seem bigger than the lower one when the wolf's mouth is closed. Another note is the ears, which again are beautifully done. My only thing here, is it's again, fox. A wolf's ears are shorter than a fox's; a ref pic will show you the best length for a wolf's ears. On the lawline, all that needs to be done is to shorten the fluff there, and you'll have a perfect wolf. Everything you've already done, anatomy wise, is perfect and is best left alone.
My rambling aside, this piece is extremely beautiful to start with and, I state again, an incredible work for a "first attempt" at a wolf; if this is your first attempt, I wonder what practice would do!
Definitely ing!

It looks very beautiful, I love the markings. When I first saw it I thought 'wolf', the background helps translate it. And I think you should do the dreamcatcher, it would look awesome.

This is amazing! I love the way you colored the fur, and the background is awesome! Personally, I think you should leave it the way it is.
Seriously, this is awesome, if I could, I would commission one of these from you. xD

I like it so far. The dream catcher look would be really cool. And I think it looks like a wolf. I'd make the snout a bit bigger, wider, I mean, since wolves have somewhat big muzzles. ^^

I like it! ^_^ It has SOME qualities of a wolf, but the ears are a bit longer like a fox and the snout is a little shorter like a dog or something. Regardless, I like it a lot! ^.^ Perhaps Kisara and my wolf, Kiala, could play together sometime. XD
