Description
Although Brevisphingosaurus python is among the larger sphingosaurs, at an average length of about 4 meters, its genus name, meaning "Short strangler lizard," refers to the fact that the neck makes up only about half of the total body length, as opposed to sixty to seventy-five percent of the total body length in the majority of other sphingosaur species.Despite B. python's "lack," it is a successful arboreal predator found throughout the northern coastal forests of Southern Iapetus.
