A sketch I owed *inhonoredglory for coloring this:She wanted Hiccup and Toothless boring out over something in their sequel designs with (if I so chose) something book-related. I loved the sketch so much I decided to splash some more color on it.
Story behind this
I imagine that (possibly hopefully) in the next movie Toothless will accidentally break one of the horns on Hiccup's breast hat, but Hiccup decides that he kind of likes it better that way. It's uneven, like he is, and like Toothless is. It fits them now.

I like that one. I just don't know what it would take to be able to let go and drop into essentially hell, even with my beloved. I think that's the widest my eyes ever got, when they dropped.
Why do they annoy you? Your skills having improved so much that the old ones look dated by comparison? Don't worry, your old stuff has aged well.

Haha- well thank you. But I think even my new stuff annoys me. I'm just rarely satisfied with it. Or I look at something I posted a month ago and cringe. It's like my satisfaction with my stuff has a shorter and shorter shelf-life. Ah well, I guess I'm just riding the wave upwards.

Ah yes, I'm familiar with the concept of past work shame. On my Fanfiction profile I have a couple old Naruto stories which are of great embarrassment to me, but I swore to not delete them. I've always hated it when artists did that because they didn't like it. I'm more of a FF connoisseur now more than a writer.
