Anyone who's paying attenttion to me on tumblr knows that I've been on a huge fem!Hiccup kick. I have dozens of photomanips like this, but this is my most popular for some reason. I'll be moving the rest over here during the day.Click to see Transformation

A note: In my fem!Hiccup universe (that has become way more in depth thanks to everyone's interest), Hiccup is the only character with a different gender. The only reason I genderbent Astrid here was for the pure challenge. I say this because there's a reason I made Hiccup's hair long, and it's not to make her look like a girl. Hiccup admires Astrid and tries to emulate her with the ponytail/braid thing. Also, it's easier to gather and keep out of her face when she's working in the forge.
I don't toss on a bunch of make-up or shit to make Hiccup look like a girl. I make dozens and dozens of tiny little details shifts that come together in a subtle transformation. I don't want to make her look like a doll. I don't want to over-ripen her cheekbones or make her chin too small and pointy, and I don't want to lose the length of her nose and face when I shift her gender. Basically, I don't want to lose her genetics.
I don't want to lose Hiccup. I want people to see Hiccup first, then the gender. If that makes sense. So hopefully, as I post more of these, you'll all be able to tell if I managed that or not.

Your genderbends show the most Hiccup features as a female! You've done a very good job! You don't purposely make fem!Hiccup look overly curvy or feminine. She looks, well Hiccup! This is the best genderbend in existence.

Keeping it down would be foolish though. I think her hair's perfect. She's both trying to emulate Astrid--whom she's always admired from afar--as well as keep her hair gathered and practical given that she works in a forge.

You know, when I look at the close up of this picture, I can totally see what you mean. It's all Hiccup, but there are certain differences to his (her!) features, like the eyes and lips, just to name a few off the bat. It's really striking. And by the way, I love the braided hairdo that you gave Hiccup. Very pretty.

Eeeee, the hair! There have actually been a couple people on tumblr who have already cosplayed with that hair-do. IT MAKES ME SO HAPPY.

Well… Astrid does have a bit of an issue with Hiccup's boobs (fem!Astrid, that is)… but that's HTTYD2 Hiccup, and Hiccup's armor had hid them, so one Bath Sunday Astrid saw them and was like 'YOOO WHERE WERE THOSE'

Keep it Astrid. Apparently the Norse didn't have much problem with homosexuality, as long as you got married to someone and had kids. Other than that, they weren't too bothered who you were knocking boots with.

I think there was something related to sorcery in there as well- like you only got female or homosexual sorcerors because there was something magical about receiving sperm. Even by my standards of weird, that makes no sense.
