As a catholic myself, there are things worse than Doom 2016 (*cough* *Outlast 2* *cough*) that are out right scandalous in the eyes of the church. Though I'll admit the new lore expressed in the hell section of the game referring to Doom Guy's backstoryΒ is pretty funny. He just kills demons and doesn't give a crap, that's all the backstory you need for him.

The Bible typically condemns senseless violence. That said, God will readily kill when it serves a purpose (given that purpose is often hard to figure out).

Look, all I'm going to say is: if I was an omniscient entity with the ability to know every consequence for every action, I'd be doing some pretty crazy stuff too.
This actually falls under the scientific subject of probability. Probability Theory dictates that minute actions can have lasting implications in the most unforeseeable of circumstances. So again, an entity with the power to calculate probability would by all means appear to be a madman in the eyes of more finite observers.

if god is omniscient then he knows of non-violent ways to achieve his goal. if he's omnipotent then he could create non-violent solutions if there is none. gods violent nature in the bible is not because it had to be that way. it was his choice that he be that way.
don't try to argue this point with me. the bible has its good parts and its bad parts. i acknowledge the good parts as good and the bad parts as bad. the more you try to justify the bad parts the more you sound like someone with stockholm syndrome. my advice, maybe consider the possibility that your god's not perfect. that he makes mistakes just like we do.
and about the conundrum in your comics. nothing wrong with violence in video games, just don't bring that violence into reality.

Realistically nobody can argue about the logic and influence of a deity. Any scientific evidence for or against these arguments are typically theoretical at best and have just as much a reliance on sheer faith as actual scripture.
Though there are a few instances where random verses didn't make sense at first, but came to be logical later in time. One such instance is Genesis 17 verse 12:"And every male among you who is eight days old shall be circumcised throughout your generations". A weirdly specific commandment, right? Wanna know why he said to circumcise them on the 8th day?
