Description

Buddy of mine asked me to draw a ref of his OCs weeks ago.  I already showed you guys the one for Caleb McCride, and now that my friend finally wrote a bio for Jackson, here he is XD

Name: Jackson McCride

Born: 1827; Richmond, Virginia

Died: April 7, 1907; Richmond, Virginia (age 80)

Allegiance: Assassins

Bio: Jackson, the son of Irish Assassin Caleb McCride, was born on a small homestead outside of Richmond, Virginia, in 1827.  When he was just a baby, his family was attacked while on the road by a Templar hit force.  His parents were tragically forced to escape, unable to free their child from their wrecked carriage.  Thankfully though, an Assassin named Thomas Bleckard came not long after to see what the commotion was.  The man fought off the Templars and saved the baby, deciding to take it in ass his own since he wasn't able to find the parents.  Thomas took Jackson north, and there the child grew under the training of Thomas and the Canadian Mentor, Aveza Bellamy.  He was always a good child and a good student growing up, studying hard but staying quiet most of the time.  He became an official Assassin in 1843.

In 1845, he returned to Richmond to assist the local Assassins in fending off a Templar raid.  They fought off the Templars, and while evacuating the area with the other Assassins, Jackson ran into his biological family, who welcomed him back with open arms.  The reunion was tragically short lived, however, as a second wave of Templars came running in.  His father told him to flee with the others while he bought them time.  Jackson did as he was told.  He never saw his father again.  The loss was a hard one, but Jackson learned to cope by studying philosophy mixed with the occasional drink.

In 1846, he was stationed in New York, and there he met a Newfoundland Assassin named Geneviéve Brezee, who came to the States in hopes of a new kind of adventure.  The two teamed up to take down a Templar plot involving the Know Nothing Party.  The two fell in love during the event, and their growing bond eventually became marriage.  The two stayed in New York for a while training Assassins, and eventually they tracked down Templar Lewis Charles Levin and killed him in 1860.

At the dawn of the American Civil War, Jackson took up arms and entered the Union Army as an officer.  He fought in numerous battles in hopes of locating a Piece of Eden that his father had discovered.  In 1864, he teamed up with Assassins Priscilla Spainhower and Eliza to take down the Templar Cudgel Cormac to punish him for his involvement in the New York Draft Riots a year prior.  Jackson took the body back to New York for a respectful burial, and he continued to hunt for the Piece of Eden, eventually getting his hands on it and sealing it away in a Precursor temple.  Jackson spent the remainder of the War helping the Union finish off the rebels down south.  He even helped kill John Wilkes Booth after the conflict.

Jackson and his family then moved to Virginia again, hoping to rebuild the Southern Brotherhood that had been decimated by the Templar-allied Confederacy.  He also tried to put an end to the newly arisen Black Codes that were robbing African Americans from the liberty they had been promised.  He continued his work until his health forced him to retire in 1885.  He passed away peacefully in his sleep on April 7, 1907.

A cool new character
His military outfit is really cool, maybe it also better to hide among soldiers, not like a white robe

Nice So you had a text-reference then?
(If yes, it is really hard to draw a writer's ideas on paper, but I guess your friend was happy with the result )

Drawing a written character is a lot of fun, if you have enough information in the text

attractive. but;

Where's Albert Pike, Daniel Sickles, Jefferson C Davis, John F. Reynolds, Stonewall Jackson, J.E.B. Stuart? and KKK members.. (Nathan Bedford Forrest, John B. Gordon, John H. Morgan) and Lincoln Conspirators ??

The story must go on. Maybe Colonel Custer?

I dunno XD I just wrote what information my friend gave me.  I have a few Civil War headcanons of my own, but I'll probably never get around to writing a story for it

Colonel Custer though is going to be in a future fanfic
