What I like the most about this dawing is the inherent "cuteness" of it all. There's so much innocence in this pic, a feeling of joy over the simple things in life. It's inspiring, it's warm and it's fun to watch. I think it's refreshing, it cools the spirit.
The spiral effect you made with Mayte is almost symbolic. Makes me think of a more playful version of the ouroboros. There's a certain fluidity in the picture despite the stasis of it all. The hair shows it all, there is no movement, but the spiral form makes you think otherwise.
Like always, the anatomy is flawless, with extra applause on the perfect blending of the feminine attributes and the aquatic form. I see you made it so the fish tail didn't stop her from having a cute butt. 
How did you colour this? It's so solid and strong. The lines are powerful, and the colouring goes perfectly with it. I especially like the way you toned down the shades where the fins are, creating the illusion that they're semitransparent. Nice shading, too!
The background is refreshing, you know? The lack of detail on the background makes this a very enjoyable pic, one that you can sit back and look at with no worries. It's calming and charming, and it beautifully contrasts Mayte's blue.
