Description Glam belongs to

Val, Tracey, and Lacey belong to me.

Edited with MS Paint.

Thanks to the help of I am now able to include Glam in my comics.

Being good buds, Val and Glam share a lot of experiences. Β Fun trips to the mall, epic gaming sessions, and getting pantsed by the Twins.

Scott Ian from Anthrax once said in a documentary that back then (paraphrasing) he would never tell anyone to beat somebody up for wearing a glam metal shirt, but he would never tell anyone NOT to.
Even Slayer, who early in their career wore black eyeliner (they were copying Ozzy Osbourne and wanted to look cool and scary), once opened for Exodus. And Exodus told them that they were great, but they had to lose the eyeliner before going on stage or the Exodus fans would kill them.

It was pretty fierce.
Thankfully Shannon has a much more easygoing attitude towards Val and Glam's "froo-froo" tendencies. XD

I think a lot of it had to do with bands like Metallica having trouble getting traction in Los Angeles during the 80s, because Glam rock bands with big hair and foxy guys were the "in" thing. So it was a rebellion againt it, of sorts.
Thrash metal did establish itself in San Francisco, hence the term "Bay Area Thrash".

I don't know if there was any actual violence among fans on both sides, though...despite the trash talk.

I can understand that need/want for artists to sway away from the 'in' crowd. Especially a band like Metallica who just wouldn't fit in musically and.....theatrically?

Yeah, neon leopard prints and pink skulls are quite striking.
Also, I tried editing Glam's shirt for this one...with the off the shoulder look, bra strap showing, and a little shorter. I'm happy with how it turned out.
