Description
DAY 34After the big success of Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Disney decided to make some follow-up...ish shorts that would be released with various Disney films. Tummy Trouble in 1989, Roller Coaster Rabbit in 1990 & Trail Mix-Up in 1991.
Instead of focusing on any mysteries & what-not, these are Roger & Baby Herman shorts, like the one that started the original film. They all have the same formula: Roger tries to save Baby herman, he gets all the pain, cameos by Jessica and Droopy (the later being more pointless) & ending with a live-action animation combo. To be honest, I've never been a fan of those "Buttons & Mindy" type of shorts; where the babysitter goes through heaven & hell to keep the baby safe. The dedication the sitter has I'm fine with, it's just can't the guy catch a break? They never do! That's exactly what I feel with Roger here. Even AFTER the short is done, Roger's called out for doing his job? I will say this: the animation for all three is fantastic. They all have the same energy & timing like Richard Williams was there (even though he wasn't) My personal favorite is Roller Coaster Rabbit, just for the climax. Maybe that's just because of the similarities of that & Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah from Disneyland Fun , which has Roger going on roller coasters. In fact, if I'm listening to that version of ZADDD, I usually cut to the end of RCR when the kids ask "Where's Roger". Try it!

I think I watched Tummy trouble more than Honey I shrunk the kids on the vhs tape I use to own. Also that was my introduction to Roger Rabbit before I saw the original film.
