Black is a progenitor. An end and a beginning. From the earliest eons of Homeworld, the binary existed in turmoil. White and Black bickering incessantly over the legacy of their planet. As tensions reached a climax, the duality of Homeworld came to an end and Black was left to rule her own kingdom, lightyears from the influence of her sister’s reach.
On a distant planet, Black is the leader to her lesser diamonds. Though she views them all with a genuine empathy, her destructive nature and lack of experience as a lone leader has left her ability to connect with them lacking deeply. Eons pass by her like seconds and what to her is a short wait is the beginnings of her Diamond’s lives passed in an instant.
Due to her absence and distant approach to leadership, most of her diamonds raised themselves, leading to a vast array of personalities and ideals, none of which Black was prepared to deal with. Ideals she can’t understand and chooses to overlook. As her kingdom grew, she chose to become the hand of discipline, dealing out punishment when it was necessary and steering the dynasty in the direction she desires, while leaving the colonies and the minutia to her diamonds.
With passive eyes and a steady hand, Black Diamond holds her kingdom together, even at the spite of her followers. For this is her legacy, and she’d be damned if anyone stole it from her again.

Features
To say her skin was pitch black would be an insult to accuracy. Instead of the mere absence of light, the gem’s body was almost a physical black hole, sucking in the very essence of the universe by merely existing. In contrast, hair that seemed to personify light itself danced like fire in a flowing quaft of incandescence.
