This is awesome. 'Down the Ferret Hole' was the reason I decided to join the HGSS fandom. This is a wonderful interpretation of Snape. His expression is so wonderfully enigmatic.

What a nice depiction of Snape as the Mad Hatter! I love seeing him in purple (even if he doesn't appear to enjoy it - just as he wouldn't).

Hee! No, Snape doesn't really seem a purple kind of guy, does he?
Thank you! And again, sorry for the late response.

I finally managed to get my whatsit together on here so I could leave you accolades worthy of this gorgeous piece! The medium was an inspired choice- the colors are given a real boost, particularly evident in the lit areas. What gets me the most in this is the suspicious, sensual, and interestedl look on Snape's face- part Tom Waits, upon whose music much of the story was based, in expression; part John Tenniel in the dark and light areas; and part Mary Grand Pre in the color scheme. Of course, I absolutely adore the purple oversised chapeau- precisely the color I'd envisioned when writing. Thank you so much for this thoughtful and beautiful work! Well done, you!

Thank you for basically introducing me to the world of fanart. Without your work as inspiration, I might have never gone there.
