Description
Previous: fav.me/dd6vf19Fifteen minutes and several miles later the pair of escapees finally allowed themselves to breathe sighs of relief, taking the rising sun as some cosmic sign that things would be smooth sailing from here on. Coco brought the bike to a standstill and watched the sun fall onto Piggy's enamored face. It must've meant quite a lot to her to see the sun for the first time in God knows how long. After all the sarcasm and sass thrown her way, Coco found it oddly satisfying to see such genuine emotion from the former prisoner.
"W-What? What are you staring at?" Piggy snapped, suddenly escaping the trance that the sunrise had caught her in.
"Well, I've been wondering how your wounds magically seal themselves up. Now I can check vampire off the list." Coco jested.
"Oh I didn't even think of that!" Piggy exclaimed, examining her pale freckled hand as though it could crumble to dust at any moment. "Phew. Lucky me."
"Piggy, you seriously can't remember why that is?"
Piggy shook her head with a frown. "Nah man. I can't even remember my name. Well, except..."
"Except what?"
"I know it's definitely not Piggy. That's not even funny to hear anymore." She complained, shooting Coco an annoyed glare.
"Okay then. What do you want to be called?"
"Penny."
"Penny? That's a bit unfitting, don't you think? I mean, you're anything but ordinary." Coco contended with a smirk.
"... Speaking of. I don't want you saying anything about me 'not dying', or whatever I am. Especially not to any cops."
Coco was clearly made uncomfortable by this request, and her attempt at a response was immediately cut short by Penny.
"Let me be clear. I'll 'forget' the time you cut my throat open if you agree to that, okay?" She threatened, her tone becoming slightly hostile.
"... Fine." Coco muttered, not in the mood to argue after their things had finally started to lighten up.
"Awesome! Let's not keep 'em waiting then!" Penny cheered, eagerly clanging her heels against the side of the hoverbike.

Six Hours Later
---------------------------------------
The drive back from Ironhead's camp wound up feeling even longer than the ride there. The guards at Mores' gate were clearly expecting more than two people to return from the operation. Coco chose to save her explanation for her superiors to hear first, lest rumor spread that the four other lawbringers were dead before anybody knew for certain.
Coco procured something more presentable for Penny to wear before escorting her to the city's upper level and into the police station, where Penny was taken into their custody. Coco must have looked and sounded even worse than she felt, as she was ordered by her commanding officer to stay in the station's residential block until she was fit to give a retailed report on the mission.
Although the only reason given was for her own well being, Coco was quite sure the officers suspected some sort of foul play to be involved. Their skepticism was quite warranted, given how little experience she had in comparison to every other lawbringer sent to kill Ironhead. For now all she could do was bury her head into a pllow and hope that things resolve themselves by tomorrow.
