A second piece for spectember, Fregata Osteokelpto, also known as The Ropen. This massive frigatebird is primarily piscivorous, however, ropen also make for extremely opportunistic scavengers, notorious for their habit of digging up recently interred human bodies. Beyond that, they steal eggs and dig up rodent burrows, eating whatever they can to bolster their daily calorie count.

They dig with thick-clawed, specialized feet, mostly used to aide in the creation of their shallow ground nests. They spend the majority of their lives alone, save for breeding season, where they track down the same mate year after year.
