Description GODZILLA VS BIOGODZILLA

ゴジラVSバイオゴジラ

Plot:

A fully grown Godzilla Junior fights a genetically created and a different looking Godzilla, which scientists make to rid Japan of Ghost Godzilla, the ghost of the dead 1995 Godzilla. G-Force makes Cybersaur to assist in the operation.

Background:

Toho wanted to continue the series after Godzilla vs. Destoroyah, and so they pitched the idea of this film. All of the monsters would be CGI, like the American 1998 'Godzilla'. Also, the robot 'Cybersaur' from the Dark Horse comics would be brought to life in this movie. Though the genetically created monster was unnamed, it was planned to be a cross between Godzilla, Battra, and Destoroyah- mostly resembling Godzilla. Unlike Godzilla 2000, the Godzilla in this film would be a grown version of Junior, and the movie would be a sequel to Godzilla vs. Destoroyah rather than Godzilla, King of the Monsters. Despite all of these new ideas- a combination of past monsters, CGI kaiju, etc.- this project never saw the light of day.

No, that's Cybersaur from the Dark Horse Godzilla comic series.

I think Cybersaur is a bit redundant with MG. But, this would have been a great idea for a movie. The thing, I think, sealed the fate of this film... Toho's CGI sucks. Granted, they probably would've made a  bigger investment into their computers for the movie, but they kind of stink when it comes to computer models. Another plot hole I see is the fact that Godzilla Jr. is fighting his father. In the last movie Godzilla when into full rage when Junior died, so why make them fight? And my last criticism is the fact that there a FOUR Godzilla-esque monsters fight each other. Tomoyuki Tanaka scrapped Ghost Godzilla because it would've been the third Godzilla Big G fought in a row. This would blow that out of the water.

Now, I think this 'Bio-Godzilla' is a really cool concept. Granted, I think they should have strictly said 'he is part Godzilla, not a Godzilla clone,' but it would work like Biollante. If they redrafted the film to be  Godzilla Jr. and Heisei Godzilla vs. 'Bio-Monster [Insert name here]' and a new mech, I think it would have been really good.

In any case, nice composition. You might want to fill in the white spaces with a bit more color gradient, but, all-in-all, it's really good.

Oh Man! This sounds like an Awesome Idea. Too bad they didn't go through with it. It would have been interesting if Mothra was involved in too. This Movie would have been Amazing.
