Description
The law of existence that is perhaps the easiest to understand is that a very clear, concrete wall divides the worlds of the living and the dead. Though the wall is not tangible, it is a concept that is understood and obeyed by all of nature. The wall must never be crossed.This was the information given to me by every conceivable source from the moment of my birth until my nineteenth year, when the strangest of events marked both the end and the beginning of my otherwise unremarkable life.
I crossed the wall.
It is as though I stand within the very stone and mortar of that wall right now, along with the tiny number of others who share my fate. Each day is equally wondrous and disconcerting to me. I marvel that I may walk the streets and yet take no breath. My cheek is cold, and his is cold as well, and yet we do not lie still in the ground as we undoubtedly should.
How, why did we become those who are...in between?
I will have the answer.

Damien is no longer as cute as I initially deemed him. He was demonically adorable before, but now he's just creppy. omg why is the doll bleeding?! This looks really cool though. The sketch alone was amazing but now it's 100% win. In small view I thought the snake head was a Cerberus head or something. I'm slowly going blind. You never mentioned it could, like, come aliiive. Not to mention Constatine looks insanely demented (redundant, no?) I'm not sure I like him like this, in a stupid girly way. Unfortunantly I'm a douche who can't take things seriously because all I can think about with that woman is that she smoked too much. My mind wanders to that old woman in Beetlejuice who smoked through the hole in her neck. I'm terribly sorry. My sympathy for Liam continues to grow which I'm sure he will only hate me for.
The coloring is beautiful and the detail is absolutley fantastic. You've really wowed me on this one.
P.S. omg I watched The Talented Mr. Ripley the other night and I cried. This will be totally random and pointless if you haven't seen that movie, and if you haven't, you must go watch it RIGHT NOW.

Heh, some of this stuff is either symbolic or just for effect, like Constantine looking all freakish; it's pretty rare he actually looks like that. And the bit with the snake...it was an idea I played with for a while but eventually decided a bit reluctantly to do away with it. I'd never actually gotten to draw it though, and I liked it enough to want to put it in the picture, for...I dunno, a look at the creative process. The doll has blood on its arms for a couple reasons; it's bleeding to represent that it is actually one more dead person who has had just as hard of a time as the rest of them. There is blood on its and Damien's hands, though, to represent the evil things they do. Oh, and Liam is angry and wants to strangle you now.
