In the story of Hyrule Warriors he use to be evil until he decided to rebel against his fate. Both Link and Zelda both found this to be very honorable, for what they call a monster to have the will to be good.
Hyrule Warriors OC - Hylian Lizalfo Knight(I haven't played Hyrule Warriors yet but have watch a good chunk of gameplay from SlyFoxHound.
