Description
I'm sick of the ignorant claiming that bisexuality and pansexuality are the same thing. Let me clear this up for you:Bisexuality is the interest of both of the two main gender classifications
Pansexuality is the interest in not only the two main genders, but also those who do not completely fit into one gender(Transexuals, Transgenders, etc)
Pansexuality is real.
It's been around since a little before the 1930s
Deal with it.

It means, contrary to popular belief, pansexuality does exist and is not the same thing as bisexuality.

Being pansexual means you feel attraction to anyone, male/female/transgender etc, or solely on their personality, not to say some pansexuals do not get aroused when they see an attractive person.

the queer community here is very educated about such things, but its still something most people dont recognize or understand.

I have people say this to me all the time, and I have to use my friend as an example, since she's bi and I'm pan.

wow, you're the third person today to be pansexual with a bisexual friend, do we seek out eachother or something...? O_O

THEmightyMAZ In reply to AViDDrawer [2011-09-04 04:17:11 +0000 UTC]
Nah, cuz when we met I identified as straight. Most of my friends are bi, though they still find trans ect. attractive, they wouldn't pursue a relationship.

Well, look how long it took for the LGBT Community to get rights, humans aren't known for grasping simple concepts.

I could kiss you for this! It took me having to literally draw it out for most of my friends to understand. Alas my family still tries to tell me that there is no difference(and my dad is convinced that inter-gender and such don't exist or are 'mentally ill =_

Sorry for being ignorant, but even when this was explained to me, I still saw the two as very similar.
I consider myself as bisexual, but I've been told many times I was wrong and that I was pansexual, because I just tend to love someone no matter male, female, transgender.. etc. You know?
š: 0 ā©: 1
AViDDrawer In reply to Duskwither [2011-09-04 01:55:24 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, who are they to decide your sexuality? You do your thing girl (boy...?)!

Female xD But yeah. I don't mean to come off as ignorant.. but I guess because personally, I do love everyone no matter what, I just never saw the difference.

GAHHH. I GET SO PISSED OFF WHEN PEOPLE SAY BEING BI AND PANSEXUAL IS THE SAME THING. It is NOT. Bisexual is being interested in both sexes, but Pansexual means that you see no difference between any sexes/sexualities.
-big breath- Sorry, I get really upset at that. Thanks again for making it. xD

Lolol okay..?
Well.. I'm very inthecloset about it in real life, but I am a pansexual. The people that actually know about me ALWAYS screw around with me about how pan and bi is the same thing. IT PISSES ME OFF..
That is all. xD
