Just trying with a program called Β΄the GIMPΒ΄, and it's going nicely thus far.Since it's nothing fancy, it is, in fact, a scrap.

With such a program out for free I think I can live without photoshop
Oh and I've stumbled across another free art-progie myself a few days ago and didn't stop playing with it since. If you want to give it a try, there's a windows binary . It's reaaally fun for sketching (didn't get past that yet XD) 'cause it has an unlimited, rotatable and mirror-able canvas and what not (sadly these are afaik not in the windows binary yet, I compiled it myself, but It might be a bit painful to do that on windows)
