Code "RED" - Capturing a new PlanetThis is my newest work i startet to do spaceart again. The landscape is done in terragen and rendered in about 4000x3000 px thx to for the help with the hill textures.
Its about 1.5 weeks of work with Cinema4D, Photoshop & Terragen. Here i want to thank Maciek Skawinski (Maska) for his great Spaceship model (the big one)
This pic is made out of well about 250 layers... thanks also to for his really good tips
he helped in the last days really much.look at the highvoltage lines ^^ i made them self with c4d and photoshop
edit: fixed the layer bug nexto the dish, resized it a bit and made a bit color correcture
so far... NjoY the journey and Fullview is required!

Looking good, ship looks to simplistic next to the very detailed planet and it has a light line aroud it on the right side as well. This all is not that disturbing though so i think a +fav is in order

looks good, but i'm not a fan of your composition. it's not very well balanced imo, that planet should have been onthe right.

The piece overall is fabulous, shows you've come quite a way, but only two faults that need fixing.
1. Layer line, quite a large one and fairly visible, to the left of the satellite dish on the mountain.
2. The lighting on the main ship is wrong... quite badly so. The shadow is on the side that the sun is on. So you'd need to fix the lighting on that.
Aside from those, you've done a very good job with this one, good amount of detail and attention paid to the piece overall, nice colours and sweeping atmosphere. Especially loving the ground model and lights going up the mountain. Keep it going

oh, i found a mistake, if you look at the satalite, then move your eyes a little bit to the left, you'll notice a colour change in a square, i'm assuming its from some textures you were adding to the hillside, but didn't erase the extra parts of the images around it. hehe
