Yes, but because of the virus, all the funeral home services were slowed. My mother also needed more time to process everything so she could make decisions - she spent about 3 days trying to contact different homes and find their visitor policy and prices.
With that said, weβre not doing a conventional Jewish burial either. As much as my dad loved the traditions, he always wanted a cremation as per Indian custom, because he wanted his ashes spread in the Sierra Nevadas.
