Volume of a Rectangular Prism = W x L x H.
W = 4
L = 3
H = 5
4 x 3 = 12
12 x 5 = 60
60 - 20 = 40
Why?
4 x 2 = 8
8 x 5 = 40
You just take away one third of the prism.

1. the volume is 60 units
2. V=length*width*height
Β Β Β =3*4*5
Β Β Β =60
3. V= 40 units
4. By removing the first set of cubes resulting in:
Β Β V= 4*2*5
Β Β V= 40

1.) The volume of the rectangular prism is 60 units^3 (cubed)
2.)I know the volume of the rectangular prism is 60 units^3 because Volume=Area of BaseΓ height. The base is found by multiplying the length times width(3x4) which equals 12 units^2(squared) and the Rectangular prisms height is 5 units, So you just multiply 12 and 5 to get 60 units^3 as your answer.
3.) The rectangular prism's length is 4 units, the width is 2 units, and the height is 5 units
4.)The way I figured out the new dimensions of the rectangular prism is that I found out that if you cut the rectangular prism into 3 pieces using the width of the original rectangular prism to cut in between you get 3 congruent rectangles of 20 units^2 and when you subtract 1, you will subtract 1 from its width the length and the height will stay the same; so you get 5 units for height, 4 units for length and (3-1=2) 2 units for the width.

1) 60 units.
2) 4 units wide Γ 3 units deep Γ 5 units tall
3) 40 units
4) remove the front set of cubes, dimensions are now 4Γ2Γ5, which equals 40 units
Am i free to go now, baldi?
