I have always thought that if Fergus had died at the beggining of the movie, the plot would have been completely different. I like watching Merida as a brave warrior, she would have probably killed MorΒ΄du, and without the guidance of her mother, gather the clans through bloodbaths....Hahaha. Never mind. The story is nice as it is. But being a Scottish princess, I canΒ΄t do anything but drawing her as a Pictish archer. God, I love picts. And Scotland. The pic behind is a photograph I took 3 years ago, during my journey to the Highlands, the most beautiful place in the world.

actually, she's more Gaelic than Pictish. the only Pictish clan in the movie r the Mackintosh clan.

I know she is, and thatΒ΄s a pity. But I suppose it would be risky for a international movie to present a main character with such a extreme appearance, she was bound to be the next Disney princess, I guess most children would have rejected an extreme look.
Although I would love it, of course.
