Description
There's two ways to respond. Foolishly or wisely. Don't be like the one on the right. They're not fun to hang around. If you've got an opinion that you hold strongly and happen to find someone who thinks differently, the worst thing you can do is flame them for it. You're only making yourself look bad. Either go somewhere else where it is supported or state it respectfully. But its best to just go elsewhere. You don't always have to give your two cents, especially when its not asked for. Whether its online or in real life, be a mature individual. And as for the christians(the true christians, I mean.), if someone wants to have arguments about religion or "politically correct" topics, just ignore it. Do not give in to it. Fighting back with your beliefs(even though you are right) is not going to get you anywhere. Just let them be immature. Pray that God allows them to see the error of their ways.
P.S. don't try to start any discord in the comments or they'll be deleted, no questions asked. Keep it fair and clean down there, alright?

True.
I rather make friends, instead of making enemies.

Never online have I seen one person convince another that he or she was right. Β What's the point in even trying?

When people argue about politics or religion, it always ends the same way...everybody's views are unchanged and they just have new enemies.

Oh now, I get it. I didn't know what you were referring to at first when you said "why even bother?"
But, yes, I simply state my beliefs and let that be the end of it. I can't stand arguments over pointless things.
(I especially hate the kind when people won't just accept the truth of the matter.)

Well, honestly, the worst for me is when a person can't accept difference. Β Some people hate anybody that disagrees with them on anything, which is ridiculous...

You know, with how the world is going now, only few respond wisely, the rest of them just want to crucify everybody for not agreeing with them.
That reminds me of this girl at my university; two days ago, we were talking about music, and at some point, she asked me about Elton John, and told her that I don't like him. Then she asked me why I don't like Elton John, I told her why, especially on that comment he made; from there, she asked me about homosexuality, and as a Christian, I can't lie to her, so I told her that it it sinful and why it is, and that Jesus died for those people, and for the rest of the world. Next thing you know, she goes crazy, accusing me of preaching hate, saying all manner of rubbish, other students get involved, this guy sides her, saying that the Bible is outdated, and these other ones, surprisingly understood what I was saying, and on top of that defended me (I'm serious, in my mind I was surprised). And she goes on and on and on, and I told her that if she has nothing better to say other than her nonsensical comments or questions, that I will ignore her and she'll end up talking to the wall. And she goes crazy, and the other students have pretty much seen her real colors.
I mean... wow. I wasn't surprised that something like that would happen, but this one? Sheesh, she needs Jesus Christ, man.
*ahem* Anywho, what you said is beyond to true, bro. And I think everybody (myself included), needs to bear that in mind. Its only God that can change the hearts of people.

Honestly, even when I told her that I don't hate gay people, but I detest their lifestyle as a Christian, she still practically went ballistic. I mean, I had to ignore her after that, and let her humiliate herself. I just pray that God will open her eyes, man. But you know, with the unexpected backup, its like God was actually fighting for me there. I mean, He can use anything and anyone to do that for His people.
This is the more reason why we have to not only gotta hold on till the end, but also tell others the Truth, tell others about Jesus.
