Well my eyes are edited xD. But most people go for yellow contacts while at a con.
And the make up.. well I heard Ben Nye should be the very good. It's creme based and if you get a proper sealer, it should be the best you can get. I think they have a shade, that is very good for the troll's skin and another shade, that is very good for highlighting.
