What size canvas do you usually work on?Β Β And when doing the rough sketch, what size brush do you tend to use?Β Β

These days, I almost always go for 12β x 18β. Sketch brush size is 7-8 px on that canvas size wig 300 dpi , thank you!

I can never tell but do you paint on the top of the sketching lines(in the same layer) and also how many layers do you usually work with?

I lower the opacity of the sketch layer and paint below it, and once I have enough to work off of without the sketch, I turn it off and continue painting from there
I don't count the exact number of layers I use, I'm going to guess that the amount is around 40-50 ish, but I wouldn't worry about the layer amount. Use however many layers necessary in order to make things easier! Nobody's stopping you
