I've been wanting to do more fanart recently, but I just couldn't figure out what to draw. So I did what all artists seem to do: I turned on some music for inspiration. And it worked! Russel and Noodle from Gorillaz. Been listening to them for... a long time. Too tired to count. I still cycle through their Demon Days album when I want some lyrics and beats that are abnormal. I was listening to them while doing this doodle that took... far too long than it should have. It's 10pm and I still haven't eaten today cause I've been surfing the web learning more about these guys. I tend to not delve too deep into artists lives 'lest I ruin my enjoyment of their songs. At least that's how I used to think. Their live shows are amazing. Or, better than I thought they'd be. I like that they kept 2D, Murdoc, Russel, and Noodle as their faces of their music even when in live concert. Pretty epic to see.

I see a lot of MurdocxNoodle art, but not a lot of Russel. I'm not pairing them by any means, these are just my two favorites out of the four :] So, enjoy.

I used a ref for Russel, should be quite obvious which ref, and for Noodle, I did her myself. All their clothes are taken from references also, and I tried emulating the style of the artist who makes them. Love that style!
