Yeah I believe her role is in the human world too, but everyone is thinking "Is Sunset Shimmer an Alicorn?" because of the My Past is Not Today Music Video's similarities to how Twilight Sparkle became a princess. Specially with the 3rd Equestria Girls Movie, where Twilight Sparkle's Human Counterpart turns into the evil "Midnight Sparkle" and Sunset Shimmer has Twilight Sparkles role from the 1st Equestria Girls Movie.

I disagree with that story idea possibly being real because it sounds far too fanbased based on what I've been seeing and hearing from the fans and as we have seen what the fans expect and what really happens are two vastly different things...Remember how they just  threw a wicked curveball with Bon Bon or how the Fluttercord fans reacted to that Discord episode even though it was about them being friends the whole time?.. 

I know all too well that nearly every fan expects her to be evil and I'm fine with that but she seem more like some science geek who was just trying to understand something that she didn't understand and I base that on the brief cameo at the end of the second one and not any rumor that had to be made by some over eager fans because like the first two movies we are not being told much and they may even be trying to throw us off the real trail...

It's best to take any hints with a grain of salt because fans tend to see what they want to see but as we have learned.. Sometimes things are never what we expect.. 

Now if you were to ask me it would be smarter to look at what toys is being sold by Hasbro.. it looks like the friendship games are playing a big part and I read the part about the shadowbolts but I think they will be throwing us another curveball soon and that we will be seeing human Twilight..yes.. We will see what really goes down soon enough but this much is for sure.. 

BUT I must point out there is room for human Twilight to be their friend too...She just may not be the leader in that world but we shouldn't be making her out to be the evil bad guyjust because some fans secretly don't want her around because of Sunset is there is because that is just pure wrong.

Hasbro will have their OWN plans for human Twilight and it will not hurt the storyline for human Twilight to be with them and it may even result in the other five going there.. Something I'd like to see... But boy will the Twilight/Sunset fans be having a field day with the next movie no matter what happens..heh.....

I personally dont have any things against Twilight Sparkle, I'm just basing this off the doll and app of Midnight Sparkle. She may not be my favorite character but I have nothing against. These are things that HASBRO made her so I think they wanna show that the Twilight's may NOT be similar for all we know original Human Sunset May not be power mad like Sunset's former self.

But we also know that there are companies and/or people that do things to try to make a buck off the series and as for the app.. Anyone could've made one and claim it's official and dark don't always mean evil but I don't really expect Twilight to be that evil if she is evil... I mean she don't have any magical powers as far as we know and how would she gain them without some kind of help from let's say a more evil mastermind with real magic powers behind it all?

So I'm just saying there's too much rumor and fan stuff out there trying to pass itself off as the real thing to trust everything at this point and I know for a fact that there are many fans who are seeing/casting her as the next villain .. As for human Sunset.. Who knows? Until they show her we can only guess like we are with Twilight but you are right the human Sunset may be very normal.. The question I I have to ask is if Twilight is there.. Could Discord, Sombra and others be there too?.. Just a thought..

On the plus side I can confirm that Twilight is going to Canterlot in next episode and after that Moonbutt is getting her first real episode since season 2.. YAY!!!

I guess your right we'll just have to wait and see in the movie. As for your question Hasbro could release dolls, but that won't work considering that most toys may not be canon, but their could be way like a new movie, app, episode, but I think they could exist considering they diamond dogs exist they could too just probably powerless, or imprisoned. And with the First ever "MY LITTLE PONY:FRIENDSHIP IS MAGIC" movie rumor going on supposed to air in 2017 we could see more parts of Equestria or returns of characters(human or pony). And yea so excited for Luna's episode she is my favorite princess!

That's true there are dolls like the light up wings Fluttershy that will never be in the cartoon or comicbook which I consider it's own AU world with ties to the cartoon one because of certain things that went against the cartoon canon and there are many games that have nothing to do with the storyline and even has a few that have their own story but most are just games for fans to play.. So looking forward to Luna's episode..She my fave too..
