After defeating Diesel 10, Fujimoto, and the diesel army, Eve retracts her gun arm and turns back to hug Thomas, who is gratefully defended and thanked for her for saving him. Oliver was happy to see Ponyo again and amazed to see her sisters and that she is a human now. Later Ponyo hopped onto Oliver while Eve carries Wall-E who was holding a big fish tank with all of Ponyo's numerous smaller sisters flying into Thomas' cab before they escape the scrapyard before it collapses and explodes and leaving the Other Railway returning to Sodor.
