Imagine walking on slightly damp sponges that is are 6 inches tall with the occasional stick for tripping/stabbing hazards and you will have a fairly accurate idea of what this particular moss was like

That's the reason I stopped, I was all like... "that green is unnaturally green for fall, better get proof of its green-ness" Then I got stabbed in the knee by a twig. Good times all around.
